Annie Jones is a PhD student currently exploring potential topics for her thesis. She hopes to continue her work with military system-of-system architectures. Annie grew up in Houston, TX but also has roots in the Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. She enjoys baking for the lab, and is also an active member of GT's club gymnastics team. She also enjoys bicycling (mountain and road), skiing and snowboarding, and renovating her house.
Annie's research interests include Architectures of Military Systems-of-Systems and Next-Generation Unmanned Combat Air System (UCAS) concepts. Her grand challenge project combined these two topics (developing architectures for a hypothetical next-gen UCAS), and her special problems explored the recently-released DoDAF V2.0 using the sample problem of a next-gen UCAS. She is currently a member of the ARCHITECT research project, sponsored by ONR. Prior to that she was a member of the NGUAS project for AFRL.
