Michael Patterson

Michael Patterson was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended Auburn University for his undergraduate degree before coming to Tech in 2010. During his time at Auburn he obtained his private pilot license and instrument rating and worked a co-op job a Southern Research in Birmingham. In his free time Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, working out, photography, water skiing, and playing ultimate frisbee.

Research Interests

Michael has always loved aircraft and enjoys work studying aircraft performance. He is interested in studying new design methods and the design of novel system concepts. He also is interested in applying multi-disciplinary design optimization to the design of aircraft.
