Vadim Kim is a Graduate Researcher at ASDL pursuing a PhD. He is from the metro Atlanta area and is passionate about aviation and aerospace technology. His research interests include structural analysis, complex systems design, and propulsion systems design. He is a certificated private pilot and includes running, golf, and cooking as current hobbies.
Vadim's current research areas include structural analysis and manufacturing cost estimation for commercial aircraft. The research aims to examine the influence of the structural configuration on the structure weight and manufacturing cost. His dissertation research focuses on methods for identifying emergent behavior in complex systems. Former research areas have included propulsion system design and missile design.
