Title: "Development of Propulsion System Data and Modeling Validation"
Sponsor: NASA Glenn Research Center, NASA Langley
Research Center, National Institute of Aerospace
Task:
The Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory is supporting the Sponsor in creating
and enhancing system models enabling advanced development of non-airbreathing
propulsion systems, with the propulsion system of the planned Crew Exploration
Vehicle (CEV) as initial application.
In this effort, ASDL is collaborating with the
Systems Analysis Division (SAD) of NASA’s Glenn Research Center (NASA GRC). The
work includes gathering and correlating parametric data relating to subsystems
and components, as well as providing enhancements to a reference
Government-furnished computer model using the subsystem information gathered. In
addition, ASDL will use its unique background in advanced systems design
methodologies to create a parametric uncertainty analysis capability based on
this model.
