The purpose of the Office of Naval Research sponsored Advanced Design Prototyping and Testing Laboratory is to foster collaborative research and education/training across multidisciplinary teams of students, researchers and practitioners in the emerging field of autonomous systems. Laboratory activities address all aspects of unmanned systems and autonomy from conceptual design to detailed design, prototyping, testing and evaluation of novel sea, air and ground autonomous vehicles. The laboratory facilities include an array of basic instrumentation, rapid prototyping and computing hardware. This is complemented ASDL’s CoVE and CoDE facilities which provide software and collaborative environments for system design, analysis. The integrated result is an environment that allows researchers at Georgia Tech to rapidly move from design to testable result.
